in keeping with my prayer concept this week I thought I share with eveyone a time one of my prayers was answered.....
See when I was a baby christian...the first time... I made the rokie mistake of thinking that GOD just gives you whatever you ask for, so being a new christian I asked GOD for something we all need....especially if you are a newchristian....PATIENCE.....
See what I didnt know then is that GOD will give you patience but the ways he gives it to you is to put you in situations where you will learn to be more patient.... now I am not going to tell you how many traffic jams I sat in or red lights I hit when I was already running late...and for some reason my coworkers began making more mistakes at work...my boss was more irritable than normal...my wife and kids became very demanding of my time for a spell....and my football team of 5-7 year old boys seemed to be unable to learn anything for weeks on end......eventually I got what I asked for but it was a LONG road.
I guess the point of tonights post is to illustrate the fact that prayers are answered....not always in the way we would like .....but God is listening ...and he will answer.

when I read this one...what comes to my mind is, be still, and know that he is God! It will be in his time and his answer may not always be yes...it could be yes, but not right now, it could be answered right away or he knows it should come later...he knows what is best for us even if we dont. It could be flat out NO....but if it is, just except it knowing he is in control...it could be that what I am asking for will eventually be wrong for my walk....or maybe he is using me to teach someone else something...I dont know, but that is the point, I dont, but he does. Also, if I am focused on the right things in life namely him and his purpose for my life usually the answer I get is an awesome one and I didnt even need what I thought I did.....I do however KNOW that prayer works!.....it brings us closer to him to talk to him, and that is what he wants! That is what we all want. You have to talk to your wife to truely know her, you have to talk to your kids to teach them and have a healthy relationship with them.....talk to the one who loves you enough to die for you, and did it! Hope this makes sense to you....my mind sometimes goes alittle faster than my typing abilities....lol...remind me sometime to tell you about the 2 times while I was sick that angels administered to me in person!...gotta run, love ya mom
